The Convocation of
Episcopal Churches in Europe is a collection of churches, mission
congregations,
and specialized ministries spread geographically over five countries in
continental Europe. The Cathedral of the Holy Trinity is located in the
centre of Paris (Click here

Convocation.
Congregations within the
Convocation vary in size from fewer than 100 members in the mission
congregations to more than 1,000 at the Cathedral in Paris. In total
there are more than 4,000 active parishioners throughout the
Convocation.
A closer look
Each of our churches has a
yeasty richnesss. Members come from a mix of cultural, social, and
economic backgrounds. They include singles, couples and families, those
who are students or academics, workers with national and international
firms, governments and organizations, as well as those who are not
currently employed or have retired. Some members are long-term
residents, while others may be living in the area for a few weeks,
months or years. Visitors attending the church may be tourists
vacationing in the area, men and women traveling for business purposes,
or those wishing to experience Anglican worship.
Though established as American
Episcopal churches in their various locations, all of the congregations
serve an impressive number of different nationalities. And increasingly
local nationals are responding to the appeal of Anglican worship. The
Convocation churches also offer a welcoming spiritual home to people of
a large number of religious backgrounds from all over the world, often
because their own denominations are not represented in their countries
of residence, so the extent to which members have a conscious Episcopal
identity varies considerably.
The one description that
clearly identifies all of these diverse congregations? Multinational,
multicultural and multidenominational.
